How fast is your blog/site?

image: Philippe Donn | Pexels.com

Does your blog/site seem to take forever to load? Not lightning fast? One thing that slows down load time is the pixel size of images. To help your blog load faster, consider optimizing your images. It is very easy to do this. Some images that should be optimized include:

● blog background image and header
● post images
● post signature and divider
● sidebar images

Simply go to: EZGif.com and follow the easy instructions. There are no programs to download, no fees, and both sites meet McAfee Security© as Safe Sites. This will not reduce the dimensions of your images, only their "weight". We all tend to love and have many images on blogs, so this is one way to solve the issue without removing some of our images.
Consider removing or not showing the following items that slow down a blog/site:

● animated (moving) images and/or text
● background music
● icons and thumbnails in the Blog List

Displaying fewer posts on your blog will also help the speed. Prim blessings to you all.

Blessings, Danice G.

My current blog is on Blogger, so it's pretty fast. My old blog was a self-hosted one on WordPress and, although it didn't take long to load, took a bit longer than my current one. Thanks for the tips!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
