⚘ Pink gingham newborn outfit ⚘

Don't you just love newborn babies? The outfit above is one that I made for a friend's newborn daughter. The fabric is 100% cotton with a pink & white gingham print. It features a pleated front, back zipper, rick-rack hem trimming and a lower left side flower applique. I almost never like pre-made appliques, so made this one myself. The pattern is super easy, and is Simplicity 4243. Not pictured is the headband and bloomers that match the dress. To see a close-up of the flower applique and the pattern difficulty rating, follow the link below my signature ♥
Here is the close-up of the dress flower applique. A covered button is in the center. Isn't this Simplicity 4243 pattern totally adorable? It also includes a romper pattern and two hat patterns.
This pattern is mostly easy to construct, except for the applique and zipper, so its rating is:

  1. How adorable!Nice job!
    My little granddaughter
is growing so fast. It makes
you sad they can only wear
those cute things a few times.
I know she will love it.
