~Thrifty Thursday: a surprise blessing~

Thrifty Thursday is so fun, isn't it? Above is a little black graduation cap box that I found at a local thrift store for just $1.00. Cute, isn't it? Now guess what friends: there was something inside the box. To see what was inside the box, please continue reading.

After purchasing, I got into the car and opened the box, to find a sterling silver key fob in the bottom underneath the velvet lining. Feeling badly for paying only $1.00 for this beautiful item, I immediately went back into the store and showed them the fob. The lady said that she did open the box, but did not look under the lining. I offered to either return the fob or pay more for it, but the lady gave it to me! This store calls that "blessing" someone. The beautiful fob is engraved with Class of 2005 (shown in the photo). The other side is engraved with Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans that I have for you...to give you a future and hope".

Blessings, Danice G.

An act of kindness in the making for both you and the store.

Holy Hannah I was absolutely meant to come by your blog today. The verse from Jeremiah was perfect for my own blog I wrote not 20 minutes ago. THANK YOU. I love how God knows when to answer a quiet prayer. Hugs. Tammy... lovely find.
