Patriotic with ruffles

Good morning friends. Soon it will be the 4th of July holiday, and pictured above is the outfit I made for my darling granddaughter Macey. This is Simplicity 2171, view C plus the head band. The fabrics are 100% cotton in red, white and blue. This time, 'made knotted shoulder straps as the pattern calls for. For another outfit by this same pattern, a back sash tie was created. Wishing there had been enough of the printed fabric for the pants ruffles... Since it is a one-way design print, there was not quite enough. So, the navy fabric was used instead.

Did I already say, adore this versatile pattern! There are two buttonholes to work, and a lot of ruffling, plus some lining. Here is the matching head band for the Simplicity 2171 patriotic outfit. It is sewn of the same fabrics. The navy bow is hot-glued on the left side.
