Tucker quilt-along quilt

Hello dear friends. Pictured above is a darling little quilt that I made for: Heartspun Quilts' Tucker QAL. 'Learned a lot about historical early American quilts from this project. Did you know that some of those old quilts were actually not quilt-stitched? Some did not even contain any batting. So, that is how this little quilt was made. All of the fabrics are "orphans", or leftover remnants from other projects. Be sure to check-out Heartspun Quilts Blog to see more of these little quilts, as well as many other interesting quilts, fabrics, and historical information. To see a better view of the entire quilt, please continue reading.

Here is a better overall view of my Tucker quilt. Actually, there should be only 8 flying geese. Somehow, I mismeasured and needed 10, lol. Anyway, I am pleased with the results. Plus, it does look good on my TV table corner. The backing is a beige with tiny red and navy floral print fabric. Many thanks to Pam for another fun QAL. Prim quilting blessings.

Blessings, Danice G.

I love the way it just gets tucked under a pot or over a table. With just the star showing. Nice to see yours all done. I didn't know about the no batting thing before either.
