Valentine's Day Love quilt

Happy Valentine's Day to all. Pictured above is a cute little round quilt/mug rug that I made for my daughter. The round design is very cute, isn't it? Made of 100% cotton fabrics, that were actually already in my stash. How great is that? My daughter will love the hot pink in it. The quilting is allover meandering style. The letters are appliquéd on with zig-zag machine stitching. There is a small loop on the back for hanging on the wall. The quilt is 14 1/2" diameter. It is from a free pattern found at: Samelia's Mum: Love Is All Around Quilt Tutorial. 'Want to see what I made for my granddaughter? Please continue reading.

Granddaughter has her own kid's tablet, so here is a quilted tote with a strap. It is made of 100% cotton fabrics, with a solid lime green lining. The pattern is my own, and the tote measures 14"X13". The hearts fabric is so Valentine's perfect, yet suitable for the rest of the year. The top flap is edged with hot pink binding, and has granddaughter's whole name on a fabric label sewn on the inside. A button loop with a large turquoise button is the fastener. Those vibrant colors are granddaughter's favorites. Do you celebrate Valentine's day?

Blessings, Danice G.
