Changing templates

'Time for another html tip. When changing templates, in Edit Html, at the top is a place to save a copy of your current template. I highly recommend this. Save it, note its file name and then go immediately to your Downloads and name it for future reference, as it will have a long line of numbers for a name. Know that changing templates usually will not save your sidebar buttons and Blog List sites. Before you change templates, copy these items' urls/html and paste these in a New Post, and save it as a Draft (so it won't be published as a post) with a future date, like 12/10/20. Be sure to Save it!

Then, after you change templates, you can go back to this Draft and copy and paste these items into your new template. Also remember to copy your custom signature code and post divider code in this Draft for your new template. This way, if they get deleted, you have the codes to re-add them. Blogger will keep a Blog List, but not the specific blogs you had in yours. This takes some time, but is well worth the effort. Then, once you have your new template, go back to Edit Html and Save a copy of it, renaming it a name you can locate easily later. I have a special folder named Blog Templates with all of my blogs' saved templates in it. I hope this helps you all.

♥ Happy Birthday to us! ♥

Oh my, today's our day. Janice, my twin sister, and I are 48 today. 'Cannot believe another year has slipped upon us! I will be calling Janice after lunchtime. We have always been close, and that twin-bond is really something special. Some people claim that twins have an exclusive telepathic bond... Well, I don't know about that but I do know that we have always been close.

On a side note, y'all may notice that I still announce giveaways on this blog's left sidebar. Due to the fact that I have actually won 5 recently and have been able to offer only 1 giveaway recently myself, I will not be entering any more giveaways until I can offer some myself. I will keep announcing them though. It just wouldn't be fair of me to keep winning when I have been able to offer only 1 giveaway myself recently. I want to "play fairly", as no one thinks well of someone who is always a "receiver" but never a "giver".

My win from Samantha's Accessories

Look at these two darling aprons that I was so lucky to win from Samantha's Accessories. Aren't they both just too cute! I really do love them both. A big thank you to Samantha for hosting the giveaway. Now if I could only learn to cook while I wear the aprons....☺

Christmas apron

This is the apron I made for Mother for Christmas. We didn't have much money to spend on gifts, but it's the thought that really counts anyway. This apron is fully lined and has a front left-side pocket. I didn't get any pictures of the other family members opening their gifts, as I was feeling really bad with that tooth ache. Mother really likes the apron. Also, Happy Birthday to my niece Mary today. She is now 28 years old, and expecting her first baby in April. Happy birthday wishes to Mary!

I am back ! Thank you, friends

I am so glad to be back! After my dental surgery, things are going very well. On behalf of mother and I, we really do appreciate everyone's comments and prayers. It is odd, though, that nearly 24 hours later my mouth and face are still a bit numb. They performed a root canal with a cap and filled 3 other cavities. A tip from my dentist: after drinking carbonated beverages, a common culprit of cavities, swish your mouth with water for a few seconds until you can get to brush and floss your teeth. Also, brushing too hard can actually remove enamel. Use a soft tooth brush instead of a medium or hard, and do not brush too aggressively.
I missed the turn of the New Year due to meds, but am so glad 2012 is finally here. Here's hoping that you all had a fun and safe New Year's. 2012 should be another wonderful year.
