New couch pillows!

This is not prim or Americana, but just wanted to share with you all anyway. This groovy cool retro print cotton upholstery fabric blends so well with my pumpkin color couch. (In the photo the couch looks orange, but it is actually pumpkin). I made the two pillows myself. How do you all like them? The fabric is by Richloom Fabrics®, and is Cynthia in Espresso.

Graduation Gift

This is a graduation frame that I painted and decorated for my grandson, Kevin. He graduated high school last month. I also made the little cap and diploma. The mat was ivory, and painted gold. This was a simple project, but quite a pleasure to create for my grandson. Being pro-education is always a good thing. Best wishes for a successful and happy future to Kevin.

Prayer Request ♰

image: Darnok| Morguefile

A prayer request of you all. A block up from our house, they are doing construction, tearing down some old buildings to clear the block for a new bank. This afternoon, we saw ambulances and the police. The street was blocked off, and lights flashing. What had happened is really sad; one of the electricians was accidentally electrocuted, and of course could not be revived. Please join us in prayers for this family.

Time for a Giveaway!

*THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED*

This is a red floral bonnet that I made several years ago. It is 100% cotton, with a tiny calico-style floral pattern. Two sashes tie it securely under the chin. It is also lined with 100% cotton bleached muslin. The size is for an adult. This would also look nice as a prim decoration. To enter the Giveaway: 1. Must be a Follower, either via GFC or Linky. 2. Must leave a Comment on this post stating that you want to be entered. Due to the cost of shipping, you must live in the continental USA. You can left-click the image, save and add to your sidebar linked to homespunhannahblog.blogspot.com if you wish; this will get you a second entry in the Giveaway. If you do that, please mention so in your Comment. The last day to enter is 19 July. Winner will be selected via Random Number Generator at 1 AM on 20 July CST. For your own internet safety, please do not include your email address in your Comment (as a link or written-out) because this could leave you wide-open to internet hacking and spamming. The winner can contact me through my email button near this blog's top right sidebar. Thanks, and best of luck to you all, friends! Upon entering, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to this blog's complete Privacy Policy-Giveaway Rules here: Privacy Policy-Giveaway Rules.

♥ So many birthdays ♥

Yes, as Diane commented on another post, my family sure has had many birthdays lately. In addition to Amanda's (my daughter's) on the 29th June, my grandson Kevin turned 18 on 18th June, and my granddaughter Macey (pictured above) turned 1 on 21st June. On 09th May, my son-in-law Jamie had a birthday, as well as my Mother on 21st May! So, May and June truly are busy months around here, ha ha!

Good morning, wishing a happy Independence Day to you all. Posting today, in case I am not able to be online on the 4th. This is a great holiday, one that we in America are so thankful for. Please celebrate safely and happily!
