~More metal cans~

Guess what... I painted some more metal cans. This is so much fun! The black Pears' Soap one was for mother, for her bathroom. It's fun to decide what color to paint each can, plus they are very prim-looking. They also make nice small gifts for family and friends. The labels are all purchased from/copyrighted by a wonderful Ebay shop at: Primitive Labels and Cds.'Hope you are all having a great week.

The oddest thing happened Tuesday morning. Our recycling & garbage pick-ups always run early every Wednesday morning. So, Tuesday we went ahead and set ours out. A couple of hours later, the recycling was gone! Not the garbage, just the recycling! Monday was a holiday, but that affected only those whose is picked-up on Mondays. Strange, isn't it? Well, all they got was a load of paper and empty soda bottles, lol! Prim blessings ♥

~Two fabric-printed pillows~

These are two prim pillows that I made. This is a craft that is easy to do, and that suits me just fine. One pillow went to my twin sister Janice, and the other to me. Do you all like prim pillows? Thanks to: The Graphics Fairy for the cows and sheep graphics.

These are the backs of the two pillows. They are of navy homespun fabric, one checked navy and the other plaid navy. They were a lot of fun to make. Mother's is not pictured. It has the sheep image, and a burgundy checked homespun back. You can see hers here: Mother's sheep pillow.

~Happy birthday Mother 2013~

Woo hoo, barely getting this posted on the 21st. Mother celebrated another birthday today, and the above photo is the prim pillow that I made for her. Twin sister Janice was also here for the party. We actually had ordered a gift for mother that did not get here on time, so the pillow is just an "extra". The ordered gift is a perfume that was popular after WWII, Evening In Paris. Janice and I went in together to get the perfume for mother. A good time was had by all, except for one sad event that cut the party short...

Janice's husband had to go to the hospital. He had been unable to even drink water for two days, and lost eight pounds! Thank God he was not hospitalized. He can now drink and eat again. Please pray for my brother-in-law. We are also praying for those in Oklahoma who suffered injuries and loss of life. Prim blessings ♥

⚘ Pink gingham newborn outfit ⚘

Don't you just love newborn babies? The outfit above is one that I made for a friend's newborn daughter. The fabric is 100% cotton with a pink & white gingham print. It features a pleated front, back zipper, rick-rack hem trimming and a lower left side flower appliqué. I almost never like pre-made appliqués, so made this one myself. The pattern is super easy, and is Simplicity 4243. Not pictured is the headband and bloomers that match the dress.

~Sunflower printed onto fabric!~

Wow, for a long time now I have been wanting to try printing onto fabric. The pillow tuck pictured above is my very first attempt. Thanks to The Graphics Fairy for the tutorial and the pretty sunflower image. In fact, she has many great images on her blog. For the backing, I used a mustard and green plaid homespun fabric. Do you all like to print onto fabric?

~Happy Mother's Day 2013~

Happy Mother's Day to all of you. My twin sister and I got a set of orange drinking cups, a 'Mother" plaque, and an orange oven mitt. Her kitchen is orange & yellow. Since mother's birthday is the 21st of May, my twin sister and I are going together to get her some perfume that she has been wanting. Today, we all celebrated Mother's Day at my twin sister's family's house. There was a lot of great food and dessert. Yesterday, my daughter Amanda and her daughter Macey spent the day with mother and me. We also had a lot of fun, and Amanda treated us all to Cracker Barrel. Macey is so darling. So, Mother's Day 2013 was very special and wonderful for me. How did you all do today?

~Need small amount of this fabric...~

Hello friends. I am in somewhat of a situation. The bright orange fabric pictured above is an 18"X21" fat quarter of 100% cotton. It has royal blue, lemon yellow and lime green swirls. 'Problem: cannot find any more of this fabric! We searched the store it was purchased from (Wal-Mart) plus 2 other fabric stores including JoAnn's and Hancock Fabrics. There is no maker's name on the selvedge of the fat quarter.

UPDATE 15 JUNE: 'Decided to use another fabric. Thank you all for looking, anyway.

I need another fat quarter this size, or 1/2 yard of the same fabric from the bolt (44"/45" wide). If you happen to have any of this fabric, or would be willing to look at your Wal-Mart and Hancock Fabrics, please comment on this post or email me via the Email phone image near the top of the left sidebar. Tell me what the price will be also. I will also pay the shipping cost for you to mail it to me, plus send you a small surprise gift. 'Hoping that all of you are having a terrific weekend. We have sunshine: yah!

~Peace & flowers outfit~

Good morning friends. Pictured above is an outfit that I made for my darling grand daughter Macey's 2nd birthday. With this RA, the sewing took me two forevers, but finally it was finished. The jeans are purchased, with the appliqués and leg ruffles added by me. Isn't the pattern too cute? It is McCall's 6313. Macey will be two on 21st June. This pattern is really easy to construct, except for the appliqués, so its rating is:

Fairly Easy
