'Talk about being late, lol. Here is my April block for the Yankee Diary QAL at: Civil War Quilts Blog. This block is titled Right Makes Might. The star is machine-appliqued to the navy ground. That nice red striped fabric is from the Sturbridge Village Harvest collection by Judie Rothermel. Have been a bit under the weather, so not getting too much sewing/quilting done lately. Rin QAL: fabric choices

Good morning friends. Beginning today, there is a Rin QAL happening over at: Hyacinth Quilt Designs and Meadow Mist Designs. It uses the Rin pattern designed by:Carolyn Friedlander, which is a modern applique pattern that uses hand-turned appliqueing. Pictured above are my fabric choices. They are Waverly® Inspirations. 'A bit worried how my hand-turned work will look, but all ready to give it a go, lol. There will be some prizes as well. If you have some time, this QAL is going to be a lot of fun + educational. It will last for two months. Prim quilting blessings.

The Splendid Sampler™ QAL: first challenge winner!

Wow, recently I participated in a QAL at: The Splendid Sampler, hosted by Pat Sloan. I made a 30-block small quilt top. There were a total of 100 blocks + some extra blocks available to sew. For the first challenge, I made a pin cushion of one of the blocks, and won the wonderful book pictured above. How cool is that? Thank you so much, Pat. To see the pin cushion that I made, follow the link below my signature.

Constellations QAL: May block

Hey there friends. The May color for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge is green, my favorite color. The Constellations QAL is following that color scheme. Pictured above is my May block, with the April [multi-color] blocks sewn to the sides. May's block is quite easily constructed, and has no official name. 'Always eagerly awaiting to see what the next month's color is going to be. Have you been working on any QALs?

One Monthly Goal: Exploding Stars

My One Monthly Goal for May is to finish this quilt top (or at least all of the blocks) from the Stunning Stars QAL, which was hosted by Sarah of: Confessions of a Fabric Addict back in February. This pattern is called Exploding Stars, and it immediately was added to my "must-do" list. 'Still got to finish the blocks + sew them into a quilt top. This will be my third all-solid-color-fabrics quilt. Prim quilting blessings to you all.

Kelsey's sailor dress

Here is Kelsey, wearing her navy and white sailor-inspired dress. The navy skirt portion is dropped and pleated. Her sleeveless bodice portion features navy anchors on a white ground. All she needs now is a large white straw hat! 'Couldn't find one to fit her though. Kelsey looks all ready to attend the horse racing track, doesn't she?
