Splash of Color QAL

Hello blogging friends. Making a post in the PM, out of my ordinary, lol. Pictured above is my progress on the: Splash of Color QAL going on at Busy Hands Quilts. This is some of the quilt top piecing. The idea is to incorporate splash of color into a quilt with a black and white or grey and white background. My chosen pattern is Mythical Lanterns by Jen Carlton Bailly (it is available for download at http://www.robertkaufman.com/quilting/quilts_patterns/mythical_lanterns/). Stay tuned to see the progress. I am also working on some other QALs, and will be posting their progress soon. It's so easy to fall behind, lol.

On another note, if you have noticed the past several days that the GFC gadget is displaying Error 502, you are not alone. Google is aware of the problem and is working to repair it. There are some, incl. myself, who have already posted about it in the Product Forum. Hopefully it will soon be repaired. Meanwhile, you may follow this blog via Google+, Bloglovin', Linky Followers, RSS, or via Email. The 7th Blogoversary Giveaway is still going on also. Prim blessings.

Kelsey's NCAA gear!

It's that time again- NCAA football season is in full swing. Kelsey is all ready in her Ole Miss® gear (my alma mater). Her white shoes are a good fashion choice. The big hair bow tops it all off. Kelsey is all ready to join in on the fun of traditional tail-gating. Be sure to visit Diane at Lavender Dreams to see her "wee ones" dolls. Do you have a NCAA team that you cheer for?

Another Detour diaper bag

Here it is- another: Detour Diaper Bag, pattern designed by Amber. This bag is so roomy and stylish. This one is for my niece and her husband. There is a large divided front slip pocket, and another on the bag's back.

Here is the inside of the Detour diaper bag. I added a slip pocket with elastic top, plus two bottle holders and a Velcro® key fob holder. The interfacing is Pellon® Decor Bond 809®, and the dimensions are 19"W X 10"H X 3 1/2"D. The fastener is a concealed magnetic snap. Yes, mother and I have loaded the bag with baby items. Can hardly wait to gift this to my niece!

Mug Rug Swap 2017

Hello friends. Recently, I participated in a Mug Rug Swap hosted by: Barrister's Block. This is the mug rug that Anne sent to me (she does not have a blog). So cute, isn't it? Anne used such pretty fabrics. It is already being used and enjoyed. Anne also sent a package of Bobbinis® to hold thread bobbins, which are very helpful. Thank you so much Anne. Continue reading to see the mug rug that I made for my swap partner.

Palmateer Point quilt top completed!

What fun the Palmateer Point QAL (hosted by Lori of Humble Quilts Blog) was! Pictured above is my completed quilt top. It measures approx. 21" square, and was sewn from my Civil War era repro stash. You knew there would be a lot of green fabrics, right? Lol. Be sure to go check-out the Link party to see many more quilt tops. Prim quilting blessings to everyone.

Three Purse Packs

Something new for me- sewing small Purse Packs. The pattern is by Patty at Elm Street Quilts Blog. One of these is for a gift, the other two are for me (lol). The grey one matches the Partial Solar Eclipse Trail Tote. The navy one with the colorful figures matches another purse that is still under construction. The lavender one is for a friend, and for it the pattern was made a bit longer. All have quilted exteriors, though the stitching is not very visible in the photograph.
