The color for November is black or other dark colors. I chose a dark brown with a green accent color. This block is named Rolling Star. It was really simple to construct. This QAL is loads of fun, and has only one more month to go (the borders). Be sure to check-out Mari's blog: Constellations QAL to read all about all of the stars and see her beautiful quilting.

Splash of Color QAL: finished quilt top
Good morning friends. Here is my finished quilt top for the Splash of Color QAL at Busy Hands Quilts. The block pattern was a bit difficult for me (kinda like a Drunkard's Path), but got it all sewn finally. The quilt pattern is Mythical Lanterns by Jen Carlton Bailly (it is available for download at http://www.robertkaufman.com/quilting/quilts_patterns/mythical_lanterns/). I chose a neutral grey and white background for the vividly colored lanterns. Looking forward to getting it all quilted and binded. Be sure to visit the link party to see many more quilt tops.

Home State Pillow: AL
There is such a cute tutorial over at Kelly's My Quilt Infatuation: Home State Pillow. Since Alabama is my home state, here is the completed pillow. The state and heart are machine-stitched zig-zag and the "home" applique is raw-edge machine stitched. The front is quilted and machine-stitched with allover meandering. There is black piping trim around the edges. The fabrics are 100% cotton scraps. This pillow finishes at 18" X 18 1/2", as Alabama is kinda vertical shaped. To see the back of the pillow, please continue reading.

Magnolia Mystery QAL: through November
Finally, here are my blocks for the: Magnolia Mystery Quilt Along. This is the cutting and block piecing (some are not in the photo), catching me up through November. Hoping that my chosen colorway will look good in the completed quilt. There is not a lot of contrast between the aqua and the lime (fabrics A and B), but there is some contrast. Looking forward to the next instructions. Prim quilting blessings.
