Fabric Postcard Swap 2018: from Tiffany

Recently, I participated in a fabric postcard swap over at: Elm St. Quilts Blog. Here is the one that Tiffany sent to me. The clue was "green", and she has hit that right on point. So cute and well-made. Tiffany does not have a blog, but she is on Instagram. Since I am not, I cannot comment on Instagram, but have emailed her with thanks. Sending many thanks to Patty also for hosting this fun event. The first week of April, there will be a link party parade of all of the postcards. Be sure to stay tuned to Elm St. Quilts Blog for that event. Tagging this post: #esqpostcardswap . Prim blessings.

In Our Own Words challenge

Over at: Leland Ave. Studios (www.lelandavestudios.com), Kim has a cool project going on. She will be making a quilt composed of 3 1/2" X 6 1/2" blocks. Each block is to have a hand-stitched word to describe today's woman. Pictured above is my block. My chosen word is "resolute"- admirably purposeful, determined, and unwavering (Collins Dictionary.com); marked by firm determination, resolved, bold, steady (Merriam-Webster.com); determined in character, action, or ideas (Dictionary Cambridge.org). 'Not sure when the deadline is. All of the info is on Kim's site. Let's celebrate and join in on this unique event. What word will you choose?

Covered in Love: blue Hunter's Star blocks

Have you ever heard of the Hunter's star quilt block? It is new to me, and it is so pretty and easy to make. For this bi-monthly quilt block drive at Kat and Cat Quilts (Covered in Love), the colors are blues. One solid and one printed. Here are the four blocks that I made to donate. There is still time if you would like to join in on this worthy cause. You can read more about the drives at Kat's blog via the link below.

Fabric Postcard Swap 2018

Recently I participated in a fabric postcard swap hosted by Patty at: Elm Street Quilts Blog. This was a new venture for me, making a postcard of fabric. How fun and cool is that? Pictured here is the one I made for my swap partner. Our recipients are a secret until the Swap is over. The clue for mine was "Spring", so one flower came to mind: a tulip. The back has a mock stamp and postage marks made with ink and two rubber stamps. 'Adding a message to the recipient before mailing. This swap was a lot of fun + educational. 'Will share the fabric postcard that I received as soon as it arrives. Please continue reading for comments.
