Granddaughter's birthday gift: 2019

Happiest 8th birthday wishes to my adorable granddaughter! This is the outfit that I made for her. She loves anything with the Eiffel Tower on it. The blouse is Simplicity 8661, and is really easy to sew. The back closure is simply a loop with two ties made of the blouse fabric. All of the full-sleeve gathering really makes this blouse cute. The shorts are just a made-up pattern, with an elastic waist. See the matching hair bow? 'Love the teal quatrefoil fabric. Of course, there are more gifts, this is just one of them. Do you think she will like this? Wishing everyone in this hemisphere a happy first day of Summer also. 'Giving this blouse a Pattern Difficulty Rating of:

On a personal note...

Good morning friends. As you all know, I rarely mention personal subjects on this blog. However, my twin sister Janice has been in the hospital for nearly a month now. 'Still no diagnosis on her condition. Late Saturday, she was transported to another hospital in a larger city for other doctors to look at her situation. Our whole family is very worried about Janice. Your prayers will be very much appreciated. Thank you all so much for all of your love and concern. UPDATES WILL BE ON THIS POST. Blessings.

Win from H2H 2019

Wow, here are the wonderful prizes that I won from the: Hands 2 Help Comfort Quilt Challenge 2019. The batting is from Quilts Like a Dream™, crib size Quilter's Dream Wool. No one can ever have too much batting, right? Also included is a darling Moda Quilt Sketch Book from Moda Fabrics™, and a round drink coaster, both which are very useful items. Sending many thanks to Sarah and all of these generous sponsors. H2H is an annual event that many of we quilters look forward to every year. Helping people by sewing quilts and quilt tops is always a heartwarming thing to be involved with. Blessings.
