Stitch It & Gift It Blog Hop 2019

My chosen recipient: A Doll Like Me, is a non-profit charity that provides custom-made 18" dolls and hospital gowns for the dolls. These items are made for seriously ill children, so that they have a "friend" who resembles themselves. They also make doll-sized quilts for the children. Here are some of the little 18" doll hospital gowns that I have sewn recently. They were mailed yesterday. It truly makes me smile to know that these little gowns might possibly make some child's condition and/or hospital visit at least more tolerable. Be sure to go visit the Blog Hop, hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt, and you can see many more: Stitch It & Gift It activities and projects all this week.

One Monthly Goal: Nov. 2019

This quilt design is titled Message in a Bottle, from Modern Plus Sign Quilts (an incredible book authored by Cheryl Brickey and Paige Alexander). My idea was that the world-map background fabric around the plus sign symbolizes world unity. The goal for November is to get this top all quilted. So what quilting design would you choose? Straight line? Cross-hatch?
