Northwest Alabama joined the Barn Quilt Trail!

Earlier this month, April, northwest Alabama joined the Barn Quilt Trail. This journey was begun back in 2001 by Donna Sue Groves of Adams County, Ohio. I was aware of this program, and so overjoyed that northwest Alabama has joined in. To date, there are 3 participating barns in the area. They are located in the towns of Killen and Lexington, Alabama. You can read all about them on Facebook: Alabama Barn Quilt Trail. Also check out the Florence Times Daily here: Lauderdale County Barn Quilt Tour. The barn pictured above belongs to M/M Dallas Balch of Killen, Alabama. The photo is used with permission of the photographer, Regina Painter, of Alabama Barn Quilts. What a great way to display history and culture, and nod back to the age-old art of quilting!

Thank you for featuring The trail. We have really grown in the last year and now have about 20 blocks up on barns in three counties. Come visit us!
