Flip phone case for neighbor

Hello all! Here is a flip phone case that I made for my neighbor. She needed a way to carry the phone without dropping or laying it down in a store somewhere. The case is lined with quilt batting and a solid blue cotton fabric, and the outer fabric is blue print cotton. The front flap fastener is Velcro©. There is a fabric loop to attach the store-bought lanyard to the case. Isn't it cute? I love doing things like this for friends and family, don't you?

Internet history

Hello friends. 'Was just thinking about another blogging tip. Do you realize that everywhere you visit on the internet is recorded on your computer/device's memory? This history can grow really large and thus slow your computer and other devices down considerably. From time to time, you should delete all of your browsing history. On Windows, look under Tools or History. Click Delete History. When the box pops up, be sure to not check the boxes for Active Logins and Saved Passwords or your saved logins and passwords will be deleted. Make sure that the boxes for Cookies and Cache are checked. Then click Delete. Another box will appear, asking you if you are sure (the action, once done, cannot be undone). Click, and in a few seconds the history will be deleted. The length of time this will take will vary, depending upon your internet connection and speed. If you use more than one browser (like IE, Firefox, etc...) do this with every browser you use.

One other thing is this: if you use a smartphone or other device that accesses the internet, you need a security system on that just like you have one on your computer. Simply put, any device that accesses the internet is subject to hacking, spam, etc... 'Something to think about.

Been offline a week...

Well hello friends. Yes, I was offline for a week due to computer troubles. The cooling fan quit, and of course a new one had to be ordered. The day it quit, we were covered in snow and all schools as well as many businesses were closed, including the computer repair shop. So, today I finally got my computer back. 'Have emailed the folks who emailed hunting me down, lol. So sorry about the delay.

Merry Winter, except now we in northwest Alabama are under a wind advisory and possible tornado! How this weather changes so rapidly! I have missed you all. Thanks to Diane of: Lavender Dreamer for telling you all where I was. The posts on the 14th and 19th had been pre-scheduled. My smartphone will go online, but it is so difficult for me to do that with the RA. 'Always hit the wrong button or 2 at a time. Plus, on the smartphone the webpage is so small. Emailing and posting is not easy via a smartphone. 'So glad to be back. Prim blessings.

What a neat gadget!

What a neat gadget from Kohl's. It is a smartphone holder, made of metal. The back is rectangle-shaped, and has an easel-type stand. The top figure appears to be a deer(?) There were only 3 left, as they were part of a huge sale. The other 2, one was black with a mustache on top, and the other white with @#&! on top. So, this is the one I decided to get. This cute smartphone holder was $5.19. 'Also got a cute metal photo holder with 2 sunflowers (photos slide behind the sunflowers) that was $3.59, totaling nearly all of the $10.00, so both items were free. Every now and then, Kohl's "snail" mails me a $10.00 coupon that can be used on anything in their store. 'Don't know why, as I do not even have a credit card account with them. How cool is that?

Learning the smartphone...

It's a new adventure for me now, learning the smartphone. It was time to get a new phone, as mine was really old. Changing carriers got me a better and lower rate, plus texting and internet, which I did not have before on my cell phone. No new number, as my number was transferred in about 10 minutes. This is the Huawei 8800 model. Since this smartphone will be on the internet occasionally, I immediately installed a paid-for sewurity systam. That same system does an excellent job of protecting my laptop, so it should do the same for my smartphone. Quite a learning curve, lol! Learning all the lingo and such, like a new word "android". The definition is a robot that looks like a human. The wallpaper was free and is my favorite color: green. How cool is this! Do you all like, have or want a smartphone?
