Ombré: completed quilt

Two cradle quilts

Good morning friends. 'Hoping you are all having a wonderful week. These are two cradle quilts for a drive hosted by Carole of: From My Carolina Home. The little quilts are going to a group who make wood toys for childrens' Christmas gifts. The 18" SQ quilts will go inside the cradles and other wood toys, each along with a teddy bear. Carole expressed in her post that printed fabrics for little boys would be especially appreciated, so one of mine has the tossed footballs print on it. The little quilts need to be received by Carole no later than 9th November, 2023.

Picnic Blog Hop project: completed!

H2H Comfort Quilt Challenge 2023: finished!

H2H 2023: more progress

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend, Rainy here, but not cold at least. Average Spring weather. This is my progress on this year's H2H Comfort Quilt Challenge project. Working on some quilting. I had intended to be farther along by now, but life, you all understand. Deciding on whether to do only diagonal quilting or diamond. What would you do? H2H 2023: first progress

Well it is kinda late at night, but wanted to get the progress on my H2H 2023 quilt posted. This year, my pattern is simple and one that is quite often done- 4 patches. Classic patterns are always popular and useful for many quilts, aren't they? I have visited some who have already linked-up with their progress, and the quilts are all looking so pretty. H2H gift: 2022

This is the wonderful gift that I received for participating in the 2022 Comfort Quilt Challenge. This year was hosted by Mari of: The Academic Quilter. She did a great job of hosting, and Selina of: Selina Quilts generously donated the gift- the Fiskars® Folding Square Ruler. Such a useful and thoughtful gift. Tilda cat doll

Good afternoon friends. 'Hope you are all safe and well. The weather here is cooler and cloudy. Well, that is to be expected in the Spring in Alabama. This is another Tilda doll that I made for my great niece last year. The pattern is from: Tilda's World.com, and is free. That fabric the dress is made of, 'wish I had many yards of that one. Great niece Lydia did like the doll.

I actually have been quilting, and have a couple nearly ready to post. The H2H quilt is finished, but awaiting the party to reveal it. Quilting and doll-making, two of my favorite hobbies for sure. Things have been kinda hectic here, but getting better. How have you been doing? Blessings.

What a whale!

This is a stuffed whale that I made for a neighbor. The pattern is made-up, and was my first attempt. 'Only now realizing that the fins should have been attached between the lower edge and bottom seam (woops). He is a dandy, at 14"X22", and the neighbor loves him. The eyes are appliquéd of felt, and the body is anti-pill fleece in a medium blue color. Do you sew any plush animals? It is definitely a new love for me. Another project for National Sewing Month is all finished. Blessings.

In the Kitchen Stitchin' Blog Hop!

Welcome to the final day of the In the Kitchen Stitchin' Blog Hop. So thankful to Carla of Creatin' in the Sticks for hosting this super fun event. My project is these five Homestead Life collection panels that were won in 2020 from: Tara Reed, who is also the fabric and pattern designer. I did post about them back then, and now finally have them all finished. Sadly, in the move to this apartment, one of the panels got lost (there were six). It had a pig on it. 'Had to make two photos to get them all in the scene. Don't you just love these? Each is quilted with minimal walking-foot quilting (one vertical line near the outer edges of each center image and around the outer edges of each mat). 'Thought that too much quilting might distract from the beautiful printed images. They have Warm N' Natural© batting inside. The backings are muslin, and each mat measures 11" X 18".
