Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange 2024

This table runner is from a pattern called Santa Surprise by Disa Designs. The website is no longer online, and the pattern was actually quite difficult to locate. {Especially not knowing the pattern's title}. Searching with the image got the results, eventually. The Santas and trees are machine zig-zagged appliqués. The runner was lenghtened by adding a few extra horizintal background strips. 'Wanted to make this runner for a really long time. Here are this table runner's stats:

♦ dimensions: 16.50" X 50" {before washing and drying}

♦ fabrics: 100% cotton fabrics, mostly from my stash

♦ backing: 100% cotton red print fabric

♦ batting: Warm N' Natural©

♦ quilting: machine-stitched free motion meandering and zig-zagged machine appliquéing with matching thread colors

♦ binding: 100% cotton fabric, solid dark green, machine and hand-stitched

Something Wicked Blog Hop: Gourdon

Meet Gourdon. He is all ready for Halloween and Autumn with his gourd head and cute attire. He is my project for the Something Wicked Blog Hop, hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt. Do you think that he is OK to sit out in the room any time of the year? His face is hand-painted {a skill that I am still trying to improve at}. The entire doll is coffee-stained. Gourdon is actually the 6th doll that I have made from a Sanker Studios pattern. Do you ever make any dolls? This is my 990th blog post- getting close to that 1,000 mark! For the Birds Blog Hop!

Welcome to another day on the For the Birds Blog Hop. My project features Modern Crows, a three options pattern designed by: Sasha's Quilts on Etsy. Don't you just love the pattern's design? The designs on their backs look like little quilts. We have lots of crows here in the South. You know, they really are quite large birds! Interesting fact, a gathering of crows is called a murder. Here is one finished and most of another block. Planning on making them into a table runner. Life got in the way again, so stay tuned for the finished top and quilt. Give It A Whirl Blog Hop

Welcome to the Give It A Whirl Blog Hop, hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt. Today is the final day, and I hope you like my project. This is a free pattern from Carolina at Always Expect More, titled: Sewlebrity Quilt Block Tote. What I love is that you can choose any 12 1/2" sewn quilt block pattern for the front. In keeping with the whirl theme of the blog hop, I chose the: Martha Washington Star block from Tara Reed. The main bag is ink navy, with white-on-white hex print and solid grey accents. White Rabbit Blog Hop!

Good morning blog friends, "new" and "older"! Welcome to day 2 of the White Rabbit Blog Hop. There are so many fabulous creations already posted, wow! What a fun hop. Here is my project. It isn't completed, but will be soon. He is a white bunny rabbit, made of 100% cotton fabrics. 'Wanted to make him of wool felt, but couldn't get to the store with all of the snow and ice. He is 14" tall, and has an embroidered and painted face. 'Think his name will be Anders. He wears a green and white pinstripe romper. I had not heard of the tale of the white rabbit bringing good luck, but maybe he will and clear up the weather. This is a free pattern from Purl Soho titled: Soft Woolen Bunny. Monster Mash Blog Hop: day 2

Good morning to you all! Today is day 2 of the Monster Mash Blog Hop. This is well, part of my project. Due to having fallen and wearing an arm brace, I did not finish the rest of my project. Many apologies. The metal can is hand-painted and is decorated with a crow label (graphic: Graphics Fairy) . I speckled some vintage white paint to make the can look a bit aged. Picnic Blog Hop project: completed!

Here is my completed project for the Picnic Party Blog Hop that was hosted by Carol of: Just Let Me Quilt. It is a little quilt that can be used as a snack mat, or a decoration. Music Blog Hop starts today!

Gremlins, Ghouls and Goblins Blog Hop- Day 3

Good morning friends. Welcome to Day 3 of the Gremlins, Ghouls and Goblins Blog Hop, hosted by Joan at Moose Stash Quilting. Three of my projects are finished, and one is pictured with what is completed. First is the paper mache Haunted House. I have had it a few years, just never painted it. Now it is all spooky and ready for Halloween. Next is the little round paper mache box, painted black with spider web stamping and an orange lid. Then is the painted skeleton pumpkin. It was originally orange, and is now black and white. The unfinished project is the table runner. It still needs to be quilted, and will be getting that today and tomorrow. Queen of Gadgets Blog Hop!

Today is the final day of the Queen of Gadgets Blog Hop, hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt. Wow, so many nifty and neat gadgets have already been shared. This is the Fiskars® Folding Square Ruler (8"X8"). Already shared it a few months ago, as it is a gift from a comfort quilt challenge. Why is this my choice? It is just such a helpful and handy sewing tool. Being transparent, this is way easier than trying to cut around an opaque paper template shape. So far, it has been used in a couple of projects. Pachanga quilt: finally completed!

Back in 2021, Carole at From My Carolina Home hosted a Mystery Quilt Along called: Pachanga Mystery. Finally, my quilt is completed. This was a fun quilt along, and my quilt was made entirely of scrap bin fabrics. The goal was to use bright and colorful fabrics, so these really worked great for that. Here Comes the Sun Blog Hop

Here is my project for the Here Comes the Sun Blog Hop, hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt. This is a little zippered bag, approx. 8 1/2" X 6 1/2". The sun is in the upper left top corner, and the design is abstract. The blues represent the ocean or river below. A popular iver is very near to my residence. Foodie Blog Hop- snack mats

Welcome to the final day of the Foodie Blog Hop, hosted by Carla of Creatin' in the Sticks. My project is from a tutorial by Kelly of: Studio DIY!, and these fruit-slice pillows are made in to 8" diameter snack mats. They have appliquéd details and each has a layer of quilt batting to add stability. From left to right: lemon, watermelon, blueberry (my own addition), golden kiwi, and a dragonfruit (yes, they really are bright pink). How interesting nature can be. Wonderful World of Color: clock

Welcome to my project for the Wonderful World of Color Blog Hop. This clock is from a pattern by: Holly Clarke Design.com, and is called Quilt O'Clock. Isn't that clever? So my clock is made from my fabric stash, and is hanging in the sewing area. The clock is 12" diameter, and has a chrome bezel. Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange 2021

Hello friends! Welcome to day 2 of the: Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange at Just Let Me Quilt. My projects are first, this Sallie Snowblls doll. She is made from a pattern by Sanker Studios, and was so much fun to make. She is holding a little wooden snowflake, and wears a red holidays hat with a jingle bell atop. Notice that her shoes also have jingle bells.
