Finally, my
Improv Play quilt is completed. This was an eight week QAL hosted by Elm Street Quilts Blog. This was my first attempt at letting go of symmetry and sewing improv-style. Very challenging, but also very fun and educational. The completed quilt is 36"X40", and is machine-stitched with allover meandering. Please continue reading.

I like the free form look of your "Improve Play" quilt. The quilt takes on it's own personality through your use of color and form. I keep thinking that I want to make a quilt but I would not know where to start.
Thank you Candy. You can do it. Just "jump in" like I did. Online advice/tutorials (many are free) + just trying to quilt on a small quilt block first. There are also many free-for-personal-use quilt block patterns.
