Here is my nearly completed quilt for the
Rin QAL. The four blocks and the borders are now sewn. This event was hosted by:
Hyacinth Quilt Designs and:
Meadow Mist Designs. The
Rin pattern designer is: Carolyn Friedlander. How much fun it was! My first go at hand-turned appliqueing has been successful. Stay tuned to see future progress. All four blocks appliquéd qualifies it for my One Monthly Goal Finish for June. What an incredible month! Here are the quilt's stats:
finished size (thus far): 39 1/2" X 48 1/2"
fabrics: 100% cottons by Waverly® Inspirations

Your Rin blocks look wonderful. Do you know how you are going to quilt? Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish.
Thank you Patty. Quilting will probably be machine meandering, my "stand-by" as more complicated patterns scare me, lol. I have been quilting only about 4 years now. 'Love to do a crosshatch design but have never attempted that on anything larger than a small table topper or the small Pantone 2017 quilt. Would crosshatching be easier done by hand than machine?
Oh how nice this is! I would like to try!
Thank you Elin. It's not too late to go ahead and try. All that is required for the contest is to applique just one complete block by 5th July and email the photo to Hyacinth Quilt Designs or Meadow Mist Designs.
