Constellations QAL: July and August blocks!

So far behind! Finally here is my Constellations quilt block for July. July's color was blue, and the block is named Broken Star. My blocks are pictured already sewn into their row. The four smaller star blocks were sewn back in April. This QAL is following the annual Rainbow Scrap Challenge at:So Scrappy. It's not too late to join in. You can also still join in on the Constellations QAL at: The Academic Quilter.

Here is the August block. August's color is lt. neutrals, and the block is named Rising Sun. I chose a pale grey with a dark grey for contrast. The smaller star blocks were sewn back in April. It is very nice that Mari (The Academic Quilter) is providing us with the border instructions every month, so that we can go ahead and sew the blocks into rows.

Summer can be all-consuming, and sometimes our progress is slowed to a crawl. I'm glad to see you're catching up with your blocks, and hope you have some slower days ahead to sew. Your fabric choices make these stars pop! So nice.

Thank you Julie. Yes, some days are really slow, lol. Lately, that has been happening a lot. So glad you like my fabric choices :)

Thank you Mari. At first, I was unsure about choosing greys. They did turn out OK though.
