Pictured here is an old wood chest of drawers, purchased about twelve years ago at a yard sale in MS. It was originally painted solid white, and had small round white porcelain drawer pulls. Actually, those pulls were not large enough to open the drawers easily. No drawers in the
before photo. Looking back, 'should have made a better
before photo. The first photo is the chest
after refinished. Please continue reading to see more photos.
There is the top, after being sanded and varnished. It was white, and I decided to varnish it olde maple for some contrast to the Valspar® Brisk Olive eggshell paint. The varnish has clear coat polyurethane already mixed in. After the chest was all dry, it got larger round antique gold tone drawer pulls. Do you like my choices for paint, varnish and pulls? Yes, in the left corner of the first photo you can see another olive item. Come back soon, that's another post.
Blessings, Danice G.

I like the top and its natural wood and the olive paint color. Well done.

Looks very nice!
Thank you all. Some people do not like the green color family, but I love it. It's a new life for this chest.
I love the green too!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy it!
Thanks Val. The chest definitely looks way better than before, and is my favorite color. Win win!
I like the wood look for the top. The green is nice with the drawer pulls.
