Doll Quilt Swap: 2019

Recently, the 6th annual Doll Quilt Swap was hosted by: Lori of Humble Quilts Blog. 'Always so much fun! This is the adorable little quilt that Patty H. (no blog) sent to me. It is 19" square, and is in rich navy, burgundy and off-white Civil War reproduction fabrics. The work is superb! Patty also included a cute thread catcher. Her card is so pretty, it just had to be in the photo. Thank you so much Patty. We have already emailed each other as well. Continue reading to see the qjuilt that I made and sent to my swap aprtner.

Here is the little quilt that I sent to Betsy K. (no blog). She sent the sweetest thank you card back to me. Somehow it did not get in the photo, so sorry about that. The quilt pattern is Civil War era historical called Housetops, and it was resourced from Barbara Brackman's Civil War Quilts Blog. 'Also included a matching church or "stump" doll as an extra gift to Betsy. Here are this little quilt's stats:

♦finished size: 18" X 24"

♦fabrics: 100% cotton Civil War reproduction fabrics (various designers)

♦backing: black with white ombre fabric, 100% cotton

♦binding: black with brown, by machine and hand

♦batting: Warm N' Natural© 100% Cotton

♦machine quilting: free-motion meandering design

~Sending thanks to Lori for hosting this fun doll quilt swap again this year~
