One Monthly Goal Finish: Oct 2019

'Made the goal! Here is the finished Pumpkins and Star quilt. This was a design from the Autumn Jubilee 2018 hosted by Carole of From My Carolina Home. One lone star in the center completes it all. 'About time to have this all done, isn't it? Decided to go with a modern and traditional color scheme, some orange and some white-on-white pumpkins. Each has a little green-on-green stem. The black fabric is a black-on-black that is kind of damask-looking.

For the backing, there was not quite enough of that fabric so had to piece with some of the mustard print pumpkin fabric. Same was true for the binding, so a solid black was used. The orange print fabrics were given to me in a little quilt swap last year. Don't you just love autumn fabrics, and weather? Here are this quilt's stats:

♦finished size: 44" square

♦fabrics: 100% cottons from a little quilt swap, and my stash

♦backing: same black-on-black floral print as front, with one pieced strip

♦batting: Warm N' Natural© 100% Cotton

♦machine quilting: walking foot horizontal design, black thread

♦binding: solid black, by machine and hand

Well done on meeting your goal. The pumpkins really "pop" on the black background.
