Celebrating Classic Blue!

This year, Pantone's® Color of the Year is Classic Blue. It's a dreamy color that's darker than royal blue, but not as dark as navy. Here is my quilt that features the closest color that I could find to Classic Blue. Please continue reading, for comments and this quilt's stats.

Classic Blue is a dreamy color that's darker than royal blue, but not as dark as navy. Here is my quilt that features the closest color that I could find to Classic Blue. The pattern is designed by Christopher Thompson, and is titled Straight and Narrow. It's simplicity is so fresh and modern. The dark red and mustard yellow colors seem to be perfect low volume colors to complement the blue. I am also a huge fan of the pieced quilt backing. 'Kinda retro-looking, isn't it? Are you celebrating Classic Blue this year? Here are this little quilt's stats:

♦ dimensions: 36" square

♦ fabrics: various 100% cotton fabrics from my stash

♦ backing: pieced of all quilt top fabrics

♦ batting: Warm N' Natural©

♦ quilting: walking-foot diagonal lines, sewn in various directions, with matching thread colors

♦ binding: machine and hand-stitched, same blue as quilt

♥ Completed WIP/UFO quilts in 2020: 8 ♥
