Project Quilting 2020: Mystery Quilt finished!

Yes, that's correct... here is my completed: Project Quilting 2020 Mystery Quilt! There were 5 blocks, but I added 2 more to have 7 spool blocks. 'Added the appliqued PQ letters and heart with the '20 as well. Please continue reading to se more photos of this quilt.

So happy to have this one done. As always, the project was tons of fun. For the background fabric, something a bit different is that the wrong side of the fabric was used. This was because I wanted a more low volume print, and the fabric is black and white floral on the right side. Have you ever done that? This quilt is already perfect for snuggling on the couch watching TV, especially in this uber-cold weather. Thank you, Kim, for all of the Project Quilting yearly events. PQ 2021 is still going on, so you can visit and join in on the fun. Hoping you all are staying safe and warm. Now for this quilts' stats:

♦ dimensions: 40" X 54"

♦ fabrics: various 100% cotton fabrics from my stash

♦ backing: grey on grey circles print cotton fabric

♦ batting: Warm N' Natural©

♦ quilting: machine-stitched walking foot echoes in every spool, with coordinating thread colors | machine-stitched free-motion meandering in background, with white thread

♦ binding: same black and white print as background, machine and hand-stitched

♥ Completed WIP/UFO quilts in 2021: 3 ♥

Glad I am not the only one who does not finish things they start in the same year. Great quilt even though it is 2021 now. Janice

Very nice, Danice! I have used the wrong side of the fabric...but it was a mistake! I liked the look and had one odd block, so made another using the wrong side as well and it turned out with a nice soft contrast!!

Congratulations on the finish! I have used the wrong side of the fabric for the same reasons as yours: when the right side is too bright or dark ;)

Awesome finish! I like how all of the blocks work together in the quilt.
