Project Quilting: 16.2: Ombré

Good morning friends. Beginning the day with my little quilt for Project Quilting 16.2: Ombré. This was a fun challenge, yet took me a while to decide on a design. The result is this little wall quilt, featuring a spool of green thread, which fades from a dark green to a pale green. Please continue reading for more information, and for comments.

Green is my favorite color, so that decision was easily made. This wall quilt will look fabulous in my sewing area. Be sure to visit the party to see many other projects. Here are this little wall quilt's stats:

♦ dimensions: 9" X 14.50" {before washing and drying}

♦ fabrics: 100% cotton fabrics

♦ backing: 100% cotton lime fabric

♦ batting: Warm N' Natural©

♦ quilting: machine-stitched free-motion meandering | walking foot matchstick and echoes

♦ binding: 100% cotton fabric, solid beige, machine and hand-stitched

♥ Completed WIP/UFO quilts in 2025: 3 ♥

I knew right away it was a spool of thread. You did a fantastic job with the color value going from lights to dark. Janice

Danice, what a clever way to incorporate the ombre effect with your favorite color and make it into a spool for hanging on the wall! I knew right away that it was a spool of thread...variegated too!

Thanks for visiting my blog post, Danice! I appreciate your kind comments. Creating your own spool of variegated thread was a brilliant idea. Love it in green!
