This is something kinda new for me. My daughter has been asking me if any of the girls' dress patterns include a matching doll dress pattern. Many actually
do, so pictured above are my first attempts. They match granddaughter's dresses, but she does not actually have any of the dresses yet, so this kinda gives away the surprise, lol. These dresses were very fun and quite simple to make. Another way to use up remnant fabrics also. From left to right, the patterns are: Simplicity 1379, Simplicity 1208, a traditional pillowcase, and The Scientific Seamstresses'
Simply Sweet Dress. Granddaughter has an American Girl ® doll,so these should fit just fine. Have you ever tried your hand at making doll clothing? Prim blessings.
Blessings, Danice G.

How cute! I would love to try the one with the bunny on front! And yes, I took part in a sewing challenge last year and made a lot of doll clothes. I got some of the patterns free on pinterest. And I have a pinterest board for the clothes I made. They are SUCH fun and the A G dolls are very sweet! You always make the cutest clothes! Hugs, Diane
Thank you Diane. 'Already follow you on Pinterest, and going to look at your doll clothes board right now. While making this post, I did think of you :)
I'm going to look for the Simplicity patterns you've used. I am anxious to get back to sewing. I had to take a break...I got a bit burned out. Enjoy your weekend my friend. Hugs, Diane
SOOO cute! I am encouraged by this post. My Granddaughter has sever AGD's so I need to make her a few outfits. The size is good for sewing...better than my 6 1/2" Hitty!
