Splash of Color: completed quilt!

Finally, here is my completed Splash of Color quilt, Mythical Lanterns. Pattern designed by Jen Carlton Bailly. Making this quilt was a first for me to sew with curves with these Drunkard's Path blocks. Quite a learning curve, bur so worth it all. Please continue reading to see this quilt's back, and for the stats.

This was also my first time to attempt a different style of binding: facing. It works well, especially for modern-style quilts. All fabrics are 100% cotton. This QAL was so much fun. Thank you, Myra, for hosting this event. You all be sure to visit the Parade to see everyone's quilt.

♦finished size: 41" SQ = 164" total for whole quilt.

♦backing: same grey dots and printed fabrics as from the front.

♦binding: same grey dots as on the front and backing. faced by machine and by hand.

♦batting: Warm N' White©

♦machine quilting: free-motion loopy loops design.

Lovely finish Danice! Curves are just so cool, so versatile. I think the facing looks good; I've done that on placemats. So glad Myra hosted this for us!
