Magnolia Mystery quilt top is finished!

Good morning to you all. Here it is- my completed quilt top for the Magnolia Mystery QAL that was hosted by Cheryl at: Meadow Mist Designs. I resized the pattern (with the help of Patty at Elm Street Quilts- thank you so much), so this one is smaller than the lap-sized version that Cheryl provided directions for. This QAL was truly so much fun. Yes, it will be quilted this year. Very soon, as my goal for 2018 is to finish all or most quilt tops that have accumulated over the past four years. Well, I definitely need more practice at not clipping-off those points! 'Still proud of it anyway, lol. The chosen colors are Kona® solids Coffee and White, and Waverly Inspirations® Aqua and Lime. The top now measures 38" X 44". In March, Cheryl will be posting many quilt tops and finished quilts in the Magnolia Mystery Parade. You all be sure to go check that out. What are you working on? Prim quilting blessings.

A striking quilt! Love it. Points will come with practice.

Thank you Angie. I have been quilting only about 4 years, so practice always helps. Lately, there has not been as much time to quilt or sew. Life situations. Hopefully that will change soon.

Very nice! Yup practice makes for a lot of work and fun but worth the practice. Love the colors.

With those bright colors on the dark background, they seem to float! Congratulations on such a lovely finish!

Beautiful version! I love how your colors pop off the background color!

Great job on the mystery! And such a great idea to clip the quilt to a fence to photograph!

Thank you all. I thought the brown background would make the other colors "pop". Glad that it does. The clips on the fence, well, not the best scenario but it works. There is no wall inside the house that is large enough, without having to move some wall art and a large framed painting.

This quilt is lovely and hard to believe you are not a seasoned quilter. Happy Valentine’s to you...xo

Thanks Sherry. Yes, I have been quilting for just about four years. Hoping your Valentine's Day was fun.

So pretty and the black is a striking background color.

Thanks Terra. I love brown, even though some people do not. It worked well for this quilt.
