My chosen recipient: A Doll Like Me, is a non-profit charity that provides custom-made 18" dolls and hospital gowns for the dolls. These items are made for seriously ill children, so that they have a "friend" who resembles themselves. They also make doll-sized quilts for the children. Here are some of the little 18" doll hospital gowns that I have sewn recently. They were mailed yesterday. It truly makes me smile to know that these little gowns might possibly make some child's condition and/or hospital visit at least more tolerable. Be sure to go visit the Blog Hop, hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt, and you can see many more: Stitch It & Gift It activities and projects all this week.

Love the little gowns! I'm not a talented enough sewist to make those, so I make little quilts to accompany the Doll Like Me dolls. What a special project "A Doll Like Me" is.

Thank you all so very much. Apologies for the late reply. Mother is still in medical rehab, and I am getting over the flu. Things are getting some better for both mother and myself, though.
