Sunset quilt: completed

'Hope you all had a fun 4th of July. It was really hot here on Sunday and Monday. This quilt was meant to be completed sooner, but better late than never, right? It is one that I had wanted to make for a long time, and the pattern is: © 2019 Sunset, designed by Art Gallery Fabrics Studio/Quilts LLC. Continue reading for this quilt's stats.

Here is the back of the Sunset quilt. The backing fabric looks kinda like beach sand. This is the largest quilt that I have completed so far this year. Lately the sun has really been intense here in Alabama, like the colors in this quilt. The bright blue binding really frames the quilt nicely, doesn't it? At first the plan was for the binding to be yellow, but decided the pattern suggestion of bright blue is perfect. Here are this quilt's stats:

♦ dimensions: 48" SQ

♦ fabrics: 100% cotton fabrics, all from my stash except the ecru and the light red fabrics

♦ backing: cream and beige mottled print

♦ batting: Warm N' Natural©

♦ quilting: machine-stitched walking-foot diagonal lines with transparent thread

♦ binding: solid bright blue, machine and hand-stitched

♥ Completed WIP/UFO quilts in 2022: 6 ♥

Blessings, Danice G.
