Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all. Our family has some Irish descent, so we love this holiday. Green is also my favorite color. Pictured above is a darling pattern: Simplicity 2063. This pattern is simply too cute, isn't it? This dress is made of 100% cotton fabrics: kelly green with white micro dots and white with kelly green micro dots. Two white buttons fasten at the left shoulder. The photo doesn't really do this beautiful fabric justice. Do you all think that my granddaughter will like this dress? Please continue reading to see the matching hair bow.
'Made a matching hair bow of the kelly green fabric also. This pattern does require a fabric trimmed neckline, two buttonholes, and three rows of gathered ruffles. So, my pattern difficulty rating is:

Hi Danice, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog - technology is both wonderful and frustrating. I love the dress. My ancestry is almost pure Irish but I didn't really do anything for St Patrick's Day this year - it was always a big deal when I was at school (but that was a long time ago).
I like layered skirts and dresses but haven't yet done anything like that for my granddaughters. I will think about using that pattern the next time I make dresses for them.
OH Hannah....this little dress is soooo a d o r a b l e! My mom made most my clothes when I was young and I made myself many of dresses while in high school. Nothing like a homemade dress...come to think of it...even my wedding dress was homemade.
