Pantone® Ultra Violet quilt finished!

This quilt is my entry in the annual Pantone® Color of the Year challenge, sponsored by No Hats in the House and Bryan House Quilts. The color for 2018 is Ultra Violet, a vibrant exciing shade of purple. 'Such a regal color choice. Please continue reading.

This quilt will always remind me of one not-so-good thing though. While quilting, I accidentally sewed my finger! Ouch is correct! Lesson learned: always free-motion quilt carefully and slowly. All fabrics in this quilt are 100% cottons. Please be sure to stop by the link party to see all of the ultra violet themed quilts and other crafts. Guess what- you can also *vote for your favorite on the 11th thru 16th May*
Here are my quilt's stats:

♦ project title: Mod Ultra Violet Quilt

♦ dimensions: 47" X 58"

♦ fabrics: my scrap bin, and the batting is Hobbs Heirloom® Natural 100% Cotton

♦ machine-pieced and machine-stitched with free-motion geometric squares design
('learned another new quilting design in 2018)

♦ pattern: © 2017 Modern Maze, designed by Art Gallery Fabrics Studio/Quilts LLC

♦ my country of residence: USA

~Linking-up with: Pantone® Quilt Challenge 2018~

♥ Completed WIP quilts in 2018: 10 ♥

Thank you Billie. I am not usually too fond of purple, but this quilt is now a favorite for sure. 'Plan on making another one by this same pattern, maybe in kelly green and white.

Thanks Brenda. The finger is finally almost well. What a lesson learned. While purple is not one of my favorites, this quilt has become one of my favorites.

This is really lovely! I like how you used the teal with the ultra violet.

Thank you Debbie. I was afraid that the teal might be too low volume, but it seems to have worked well after all.
