~Why optimize images?~
Why optimize web images? There are several reasons. One is because larger size bytes take longer to load in the browser. We don't want people to leave our blog/site because it takes too long to load. Optimizing solves that problem by compressing images into smaller bytes. Here is a great method for getting the best images: First, use a system such as: Pixlr to edit the image. Selecting "auto color" or "auto contrast" can make the image brighter. Selecting a slight amount "sharpen" will sometimes help. Do this editing before optimizing, or the image may end up blurry. One great free and quick optimizer is here: EZGif. Their site also has an easy favicon generator. (That's the image in the browser. [This blog's is a little spool of thread]. The above photo is a comparison of two jumpers that I designed and made while an undergrad: one view is optimized and the other is not. 'See how much clearer and brighter the optimized image on the right side is?

~ Tips for safe blogging ~
image: Apex 360 | Pexels.com
Hello friends! Something sad that I just read is that another blogging friend has had a lot of her content stolen! When will this madness [crime] end? In the past, I have made posts with tips for we bloggers to protect our content and identities.
'Time for some more tips. Last May, I posted about "mailto:" links and contact forms. In addition to that, here are some more tips:
● Our RSS feeds can be set to show only the text and not the post images. To set this, go to the Settings, then to "other". Where it says "Blog feed", choose "short". None of your blog's images will appear in your blog's feed.
● Link all of your images to their sources. If the source is your own work, then link it right back to your home page. This will also stop them from dragging to the browser. If they do try, they will then just be directed to the source instead of to the image.
In the end, if someone really wants to steal any online infortamtion, they probably can succeed. Hoping that you all find these tips helpful. Comment on this post with any questions. Blessings and safe blogging to all!

~Autumn Door Wreath 2012~
This is our Autumn door wreath. I made it some years ago. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers. They remind me of warmer weather. The plaid ribbon and the "leafy" ribbon are in luscious seasonal shades of orange, mustard, avocado, and burgundy. This is a large wreath, as the photo shows. Decorating doors is one of my favorite hobbies. Do any of you also enjoy decorating your doors for the seasons? Prim blessings to all.
