Happy 4th birthday!

Sending belated happy 4th birthday wishes to my darling granddaughter, Macey. That's her pictured above. 'Looks like she is having a lot of fun at that carnival, doesn't it? She really looks so much like her mother did at that same age. I felt badly yesterday, and did not get online to post. What a blessing grandchildren truly are. Yesterday was also the Summer solstice for this part of the world, as well as Father's Day. What an event-filled day! Sending belated wishes to my SIL Jamie and BIL Wendell. Prim blessings.

Simplicity 1475 bow dress

'Loving this warmer weather. Pictured above is a darling dress pattern. This one is Simplicity 1475. The pattern can be made as a dress or a blouse. A pattern for long pants or shorts is included, as well as a cute little bow purse pattern and an 18" doll-sized dress. Talk about versatility! This dress is made of 100% cotton, in floral shades of pale grey, yellow and black on a white background. Subdued yet pretty. The front bow is made of a pale yellow cotton fabric. I just love the simple lines of this pattern, don't you? With shoulder straps and an elastic back, there are no fasteners. The bodice is lined. The bow slides through a single button hole that is hidden under the dress' front pleat.

Thrifty Thursday: baby shoes

Good Thrifty Thursday to you all. Pictured above are 2 pair of baby shoes, found at a local thrift store for just $1.00 per pair. They were originally bought for 2 of my dolls, but are too large for their feet. So, any ideas on what they could be used for? Oh goodness, this is actually Tuesday. Well, anyway, lol...

Mother's Day gift

Hello there. This past Mother's Day was awesome, as always. Pictured above is a beautiful glass orb that my daughter gave to me. Just look at those pretty colors, including my favorite, which is green. It is always so special to share this holiday with my daughter and my own mother as well. I got my mother a silver-toned charm locket on a 30" chain with simulated birthstones representing her (emerald), daddy (amethyst), and Janice and my (garnet) birthstones. Have you seen those lockets? They are really fashionable and meaningful as well. My daughter and her family came to visit on the 3rd June, and we all had a wonderful time. Family truly is a blessing and a joy that nothing could ever replace.

Sis Boom Maddie dress

Good morning friends. Sunday was a wonderful day. Well, not weather-wise, but family-wise. Daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter came to visit. Woo hoo! We all had a grand time. Pictured above is one of the dresses this proud granny had to give to granddaughter. This dress is the Sis Boom Maddie dress. A white cotton fabric with an aqua Greek key print was used. My thinking was that it looks kinda "big girl" since my granddaughter is growing so fast. She will be 4 in June already. My, how time does fly. Please continue reading to see more.
