I have been quilting for a short time, only just over one year. A block that I had been thinking of attempting is a kinda complicated one. Well, pictured above is my first try. The block pattern is historical, and this version is from Barbara at Civil War Quilts Blog: Confederate Rose quilt block. The center square is from her fabric collection Civil War Reunion, and is fussy cut. The 4 outer corners are from her Ladies' Album collection. Traditionally, the colors chosen for this block were reds, pinks, and white. So, what do you think should be done once more blocks are completed? A small lap quilt or table runner? A wall hanging? Prim quilting blessings.

Harvest Gatherings Swap 2015
Lookie what came in the mail yesterday! Swap goodies from Bumblebee Lane Cottage's annual Harvest Gatherings Swap. My swap partner was Debbie of: Barefoot Primitives Blog. Wow, Debbie really did spoil me. She sent: a darling raggedy doll, a muslin turkey, 2 muslin pumpkins, 2 wax potpourri cakes, some vintage milk caps, 3 ears of muslin corn, a bundle of cinnamon sticks, a bundle of little candles, a sewing notions doll on a vintage spool, 5 bowl filler pillows with sunflowers (1 has Hebrews 4:14 verse), a note card set with pretty bird graphics, an owls pin keep and 2 cakes of beeswax, a vintage baby frock, a blue note pad roll with a wooden writing pen, a rusty wire with ladybugs and sunflowers trimming, and 2 darling prim hang tags. Everything also smells really good, lol. Thank you so much, Debbie, I love everything. 'Want to see what I sent to Debbie? Follow the link below my signature.

It's National Sewing Month
Happy National Sewing Month everyone! Pictured above is a darling denim jumper that I made for my granddaughter. This one is See&Sew B6075, and a local shop embroidered her name in bright yellow across the bib front. The lower ruffle really makes this jumper look cute. Isn't it adorable? The turquoise turtleneck was purchased at a local store. There is a matching head band made of the ruffle's floral fabric. This jumper has 4 button fasteners and is fully lined, but it's not very complicated to construct. The pattern difficulty rating will be:
Fairly Easy
