New fat quarters!

What is better than winning a bundle of four beautiful fat quarters? I entered a giveaway at: Seams to be Sew, and won these Banyan Batiks by Northcott Fabrics. Marian generously gave away a lot of gifts in her recent Once Upon a Story Row Along. Thank you so much, these are really gorgeous high quality white-on-white prints. Looking forward to using them in a quilt project.

One Monthly Goal Finish: Oct 2019

'Made the goal! Here is the finished Pumpkins and Star quilt. This was a design from the Autumn Jubilee 2018 hosted by Carole of From My Carolina Home. One lone star in the center completes it all. 'About time to have this all done, isn't it? Decided to go with a modern and traditional color scheme, some orange and some white-on-white pumpkins. Each has a little green-on-green stem. The black fabric is a black-on-black that is kind of damask-looking.

Almost Amish quilt: completed!

Here is my finished Almost Amish little quilt. What another fun quilt-along hosted by Lori of Humble Quilts Blog. Be sure to visit the link party to see many more quilts. It is so fun seeing what colors and fabrics people chose, as no two will probably be alike. My little quilt has both dark and light colored solid cottons: burgundy, hunter, black, brown, slate blue, and white.

Witchy Stitchy Blog Hop!

Today is my day on the: *Witchy Stitchy Blog Hop*, hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt. My project is this witchy yet adorable pumpkin bunny. Her name is Simone, and she is approximately 20" tall. Her face is hand-painted, and she is coffee-stained heavy weight muslin. Simone's head is dyed orange, and her "stockings" are pained orange and grey. Around her neck is a Trick or Treat hang tag and her little green potion bottle. Simone wears a grey, black and orange pumpkin print shortall and her fuzzy bunny ears headband. The burlap neck ruff and the pumpkin pick just complete her look, don't they? While cute, Simone is just a tad bit scary. That book she is sitting on, could it be full of Halloween spells? Whoo! I love this pattern so much, and so enjoyed creating Simone.

Be sure to go visit and check-out the other projects in the Blog Hop from 7th through 11th October. It's not too late, as the links to all of the blogs and sites are listed there.

One Monthly Goal: October 2019

This quilt top is from the Autumn Jubilee 2018, hosted by Carole of From My Carolina Home Blog. 'About time to get it all quilted and binded. That is the goal for October. I chose to go a combination of traditional and modern-colored Pumpkins and a black tonal background. Only one Nine Patch Star in the center. See my hand-basting thread? This method works best for me to keep the "quilt sandwich" held together and straight for quilting. Hoping to meet the goal!

♦ dimensions: 44" square

♦ fabrics: assorted cottons from my stash

♦ backing: pieced- black tonal with orange scraps from the front

♦ batting: Warm N' Natural©
